About Us

Perkin Dyechem was established in the year 1986. Since then we have come a long way with our quest for better dyestuffs. Today we have a wide range of dyestuffs to meet the most exacting requirements of the leather industry. Our aim had always been to fulfill the need of our customers. We were always aware of the changes that were taking place around us and in the developed countries with respect to the development of dyestuffs and we had always taken any opportunity to improve our quality in order to keep up to the latest changes in the dyestuff industry. Our close association with the Society of Dyers and Colourists, at Bradford, West Yorkshire, England and also with the American Society of Dyers and colourists, New York, USA, had kept us always aware of any changes that came about within the dyestuff industry. This has enabled us to be more and more confident with the products we are dealing with and to compete with ever increasing confidence with our close competitors, who are mostly multinational companies.

The very bare fact that we are a very small concern as compared with our close competitors, who are all large multinational companies, never imposes a threaten to our existence. We have therefore always laid more emphasis on QUALITY than quantity or size. Our strong technical background on the very subject –“COLOUR”, had always been our prime strength to boost our ever-increasing confidence in our products. We know our potentiality in the field of colour much better and we also know where we stand as compared to our close multinational competitors. Our endeavour to upgrade our infrastructure and our technical backup service to our customers continues to meet up to the latest challenges imposed by the demand of the overseas buyers. By now we are all well aware of the fact that buyers across the world are now imposing new demands like ECO-FRIENDLY products and the like. Commercial sense dictates that we convert these new requirements into opportunities and we in Perkin, are always intending to do just that-use this opportunity as a competitive advantage.

With our in-depth knowledge and expertise in the chemistry of dyestuffs, we, in Perkin, have eliminated with very careful scrutiny in our laboratory, the list of all dyes that contain any of the twenty-one banned arylamines as specified by the German ban.

A major proportion of our profits are invested in RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT and that is why we cannot, very unfortunately, boast of having a low price structure, as one would expect of a small concern like ours. Although we do try to keep in mind that a low price structure is also an important criteria in order to attract more customers, but from our experience we have also learnt that at the end of the day this tendency to attract customers is just temporary and unjustified. Even our consumers eventually appreciate that quality is more important and that quality in itself turns out to be cost effective in the long run. As we strongly believe that quality makes a product eventually more cost effective, we have never deterred in increasing our fund for the progress of our R& D.
